Importers NZ Limited trading as The Design Store is committed to providing quality products to our customers. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with any product, please return it to us in its original condition (unworn with packaging/labels attached) within 14 days of receipt, with proof of purchase. Alternatively you can exchange online purchases at any one of our 6 Auckland stores, simply take your order confirmation or invoice along with the items you wish to exchange. Our store staff will be happy to help you. Importers NZ Limited trading as The Design Store has the right to decline returns if the product is not returned in its original condition or returned outside of the 14 day period. Please be aware any delivery fee incurred is non-refundable.
How to return a product
If for any reason you're not happy with any of the items in your package, you can return them by sending them back to our Distribution Centre, or by taking them into one of our stores. We can offer instore or online vouchers/credit notes for purchases you have changed your mind on, as long as the item(s) are in their original unused condition.
Returning/Exchange in Store
You can return product to any Importers NZ Limited trading as The Design Store branch providing all the terms and conditions of our returns policy have been met. Please take your order confirmation or invoice along with the items you wish to exchange. You can find your nearest store here.
Returning/Exchanging via our Distribution Centre
When you return an item by post you must state how you would like us to process your return, whether you want an exchange or credit. Exchange items must be of equal or lesser value. If the item you exchange is of lesser value than the original item, we will provide a credit/voucher the difference to the card used to make the original purchase. You can return product by courier to the Web Store providing all the terms and conditions of our returns policy have been met. Please return the product with the purchase confirmation letter as your proof of purchase, as well a completed Returns Note.

*Postage charges on returns are non-refundable. It can take up to 14 days for use to receive your parcel depending on your location and which postal service you use. We recommend you send your return parcel on a tracked service as all returns remain the responsibility of the purchaser until received by The Design Store. Once we receive your returned parcel, we will inspect and process the items within 48 hours to ensure you receive your credit/exchange as quickly as possible. In all cases, the items returned must be in their original condition. Any item in unsuitable condition will be sent back to you. The Design Store does not accept responsibility for items lost in transit while being returned. We recommend that you use a postage service that provides tracking and delivery to the door.
